It seems like all I have been listening to for the past two weeks have been remixes of “Kanye”. The risks you run when holding a remix competition is that A) people might get sick of the lyrics (I won't even click on any new “Latch” remix I find) and B) the original can be, and quite often is topped. The vocals for “Kanye” are really great, but that first risk is probably starting to happen for some people (or at least those people in the extravagant world of music blogging). I have posted remixes of this song before and am actually in fact a really huge jerk because my last post was a remix of this song.
None of those remixes posted were better than the original, but this one without a doubt is. I love The Chainsmokers and they are probably one of my top 900 best friends (not even joking), but this is by far my favorite version of the song. Leeo, the mysterious Swedish producer behind this track created an airy, atmospheric feel. Everything about the song is outstanding. The heavy piano, the powerful and catchy melody, and the full, euphoria inducing build and drop. I really can't say enough good things about this song.
