Five years ago, an aftermovie was a brief cinematic composition loaded with stimulating effects and stimulated fans. In 2011, Insomniac released a feature-length aftermovie: The Electric Daisy Carnival Experience. Ultra Music Fest fired back with their own film Can U Feel It in 2012.
While both movies gave incredible insight into the festival experience, neither captured the intensity, passion, and constant flow of energy that an events official aftermovie is expected to feature. In 2013, TomorrowLand bridged the gap between featured film and aftermovie with their YouTube release.
As the industry grows, there's a need for innovation in mass-media marketing. In other word, everybody is looking for a new idea. To show that love does come again, the producers at Elite Daily filmed an intimate, exciting, and emotional aftermovie for 2014's edition of TomorrowWorld.
The 7-minute short tells the story of a photographer and festival-goer meeting and hooking up. The direction of the film goes beyond the two main characters and takes the viewer throughout the entire festival. TomorrowWorld 2014 was a place for strangers to become friends, and for friends to fall in love.
