Calvin Harris seems to be on a roll recently. Although he had to cancel his MTV EMA performance due to illness, that certainly didn't stop him from winning. Earlier this weekend the DJ tweeted ‘No EMAs for me this weekend. Got some heart problems. Heading home to see if it can be fixed x'.
Calvin Harris ended up taking home the EMA for Best Electronic Artist against Hardwell, David Guetta, Avicii, and Afrojack. This is the first time he has won the award, with over 4 prior nominations in the category.
His new album ‘Motion' has already broken records on the Billboard Top 10 Electronic / Dance chart. He's the first dance artist to have 3 singles on the chart at the same time. Forbes also named him the highest paid DJ in the world this year.
There's no doubt the Calvin Harris has plenty more in store for his fans coming up, we just hope he gets well soon!
