Several years ago a DJ by the name of deadmau5 took exception to being ranked on DJ Mag's top 100. He claimed that he wasn't a DJ. In fact, he had never actually operated an electronic CDJ, which one would assume is a prerequisite to acquiring the label.
Now the year is 2014 and here comes dance music noobie DJ Castro. Not only does DJ Castro refuse to use a CDJ, he actually uses no electronically-powered equipment at all. The sounds produced by DJ Castro come entirely from his own body and a little help from an empty water bottle.
