‘The Underground Is Massive’ Book To Describe The Rise of EDM In America

Dance Music journalist Michaelangelo Matos is in the middle of finishing up his book about the rise of EDM in North America, more specifically the United States. Most of the information used in the book are from his many different experiences both raving and writing (Rolling Stone, NPR and The Guardian) over the years. From the 90's house and techno orientated raves + ecstasy to the ‘Molly' filled dubstep concerts that took over in popularity and a good chunk of the main stream, Matos has countless stories about the evolution of the music, drugs, and everything in between. Personally, I don't tend to read hardcover Books like I used to [sort of], I can just skim through a synopsis article via the internet on any given website BUT with that being said this book really grabbed my attention and I actually plan on picking this one up and reading it sooner or later. I am excited to see how the scene grew from a underground rave orientated culture to a now commercial scene that has shows/dates/tours that sell out arenas on a now weekly basis. The Underground Is Massive is set to go public on March 10th 2015, so brace yourself and catch up on Michaelangelo Matos' prior writings by looking him up [he's written some amazing EDM-based articles & stories already].
