With their brand new single “Never Too Late” featuring Bryan Finlay dropping today, we thought it would be a good opportunity to find out Inpetto‘s musical guilty pleasures. For those who are yet to check out the bubbling and melodic latest release from the German house producers, we highly suggest you do so.
You can grab “Never Too Late”, released through Dirty Soul here, and have a peruse through the duo's guilty pleasures below.
1) Daft Punk – “Revolution 909”
Every time we hear “Revolution 909” from Daft Punk's first LP “Homework”, we remember the hot summer when we were driving around a lot in Marco´s convertible listening to this track at full volume. Generally “Homework” is our favourite Daft Punk LP.
2) Dixie Chicks – “Landslide”
Great Fleetwood Mac cover! We heard it first on a roadtrip we made through the states and used this song as soundtrack for the holiday aftermovie.
3) Karen Overton – “Your Loving Arms”
This track is a great cover version of Billie Ray Martin's “Your Loving Arms” by Karen Overton. Its production is simply great with a fascinating, creative sound design and an interesting vocal interpretation. Over the years it's been the most played track in my car and I still listen to it from time to time.
4) M83 – “Outro”
We heard this in a commercial for an energy drink for the first time. It fitted perfectly to the super-slomo videos of snowboarders jumping out of helicopters. We were totally impressed. Later we found out it was a track by M83 with outstanding vocals by Anthony Gonzalez.
5) Tom Jones – “It´s Not Unusual”
The ultimate “Feel Good Song“. Two seconds of this song are enough to stop doing important things and start the Carlton-Dance.
