Despite SoundCloud's fall-out with Twitter, The German startup may soon join the billion-dollar ranks of both Snapchat and Uber.
While SoundCloud has been in arm's reach of the Billion Dollar Club for awhile now, according to The Wall Street Journal, SoundCloud is raising about $150 million in capital to put a total valuation of about $1.2 billion. This comes shortly after announcing that SoundCloud had inked their first licensing deal with The Warner Music Group back in November.
SoundCloud says it attracts more than 175 million unique listeners each month and the content creators upload about 12 hours worth of audio every minute.
