Red Rocks in Denver, Colorado has always been a crowd favorite for dance fans and DJs, but the venue has recently been under fire over noise complaints. Residents nearby the venue have been asking Denver to address the issue since at least 2013. Neighbors close to the venue are attributing the increase in noise due to the rise in number of EDM shows at Red Rocks with a higher sound level and reverberating bass.
Denver put new rules in place in 2014 to help eliminate the issue. Concerts had to end earlier and restrictions were put on noise levels. However, residents still didn't think that was enough.
Now, the rules have changed even more for the start of 2015. Noise levels will now apply to the entire performance, not just to late house. New limits on bass will also be in effect.
If these new rules don't already sound depressing enough for the amazing Red Rocks Amphitheater, any artists that violates these terms will be banned for the next concert season. Consider yourself lucky if you got to experience Red Rocks in all of it's glory because the way things are looking now it may never be the same.
