What does it sound like when a producer fits more than 9,000 audio samples into less than 5 minutes? Josh Pan figured it out. He also managed to not overuse any specific style of sample or piece of music. The song flows seamlessly, from start to finish. If we forget, for just a minute, how impressive the sampling and organization is, we are left with an emotive, jazzy electronic piece of music that has a bit of a swing flare. Here's what Josh had to say about the song:
“…this song was just me sitting in a room showing a girl how sampled music is made. It was pretty stream of consciousness. I finished the beat in 3 hours and ended up using a ton of samples. I just wanted to show people that it's possible to tell a story and take people through an ever evolving beat without stretching it so far that the song is not a song anymore.”
