In September of 2014, Minecraft creator Markus Persson “Notch” announced publicly that he would be selling Minecraft and his company Mojang to Microsoft for the cost of $2.5 billion. With Notch's newly found wealth, he decided to set the record for the highest price ever paid for home in Beverly Hills. The man behind Minecraft spent $70 million to pick up the 23,000 square foot home.
This past weekend, Notch flew into town and brought some of his friends including Dillon Francis, Martin Garrix, Zedd and Selena Gomez to help christen his new home.
We will say, Zedd and Selena Gomez seem to be pretty fond of one another.
