With the exception of ‘Gold Skies' and a couple of other tracks, Martin Garrix has stuck to big room house, the generic genre of 2013, throughout his career. Even in 2014, a year where deep house began to takeover, Martin stuck to his roots of big room house. Now in 2015 though, a year expected to be ruled by deep house, Martin seems to be shifting away from his previous big room style, but he is not joining the ranks of many other producers and going deeper. Instead, Martin seems to be shifting to a more progressive and melodic house style. This is the first original we have heard produced by Martin Garrix, alone, in this style and it is definitely something different to hear from the young talent, but I believe the release will be as successful as his past productions, despite going against the current trend!
Titled ‘Forbidden Voices', Martin Garrix has yet to release anything official about the track, but he debuted the track at Pier 36 on New Year's Eve, as well as featured the track in the second part of his Documentary. The three minute rip from Pier 36 can be found below along side part two of his documentary, let us know what you think about the change!
