First up, I hold my hands in the air and say I made a horrible mistake. I will explain what it was shortly.
The Teach Me original was awesome. I basically listened to it on repeat whilst I was travelling around India in December, and it gives me vivid flashbacks of beers and Goan beaches.
Im also a ridiculously big fan of anything Marc Kinchen seems to put his deep house vibes on to. Ive seen a bunch of his sets and every time I come away having sweated half my bodyweight out from dancing like the techo viking. Naturally when an MK Remix of my December anthem dropped into the inbox I couldn't wait to hit play – and here was my mistake. I should have waited. I didn't have my headphones, and instead played the first run through on my Laptop speakers.
“Oh MK”. I thought to myself. I was disappointed. I felt it lacked depth, and the beat wasn't flowing through me. Until I got home later that night and put it through some decent speakers – and then the smile grew across my face, and I found myself getting all viking, alone in my apartment, raving in the middle of the living room floor. Theres something about an MK vibe that just resonates with me, its deep funky bass makes you grin and groove all at the same time, and its all about having that bass flow through you.
All in all, another belter from MK, and Im sorry I doubted you for one second. Its my bad. No doubt Bakermat is stoked too. MK Remix of teach me is available on beatport now.
