The “Pray to God” music video by Calvin Harris feat. Haim has just been released and it is definitely something to keep an eye on. After teasing throughout the day with multiple 15-second clips, both artists can finally rejoice and admire their final work as people around the world take the new video in.
The record was originally a part of Harris' “Motion” album last year, which boasted collaborations with John Newman, Alesso, Ellie Goulding and Big Sean. “Pray to God” will now join “Outside“, “Open Wide,” “Slow Acid,” “Blame,” “Summer” and “Under Control” as the video versions of the already famous EDM tracks featured in “Motion.”
The video, directed by Emil Nava (responsible for “Summer,” “Outside,” “Open Wide” and more) starts out with the Haim sisters (Este, Danielle, Alana) in front of a jaw-dropping sunset backdrop. They are all wearing black and Danielle instantly takes control, releasing her voice and starting the song.
The three sisters continue to sing along while the backdrops keep changing. All throughout the video one can notice a wolf, a hare, a hawk, a bear, a lion and then four black horses. What does this have to do with praying to God? Who knows, but at least it looks pretty.
Haim is a pop rock band originated from Los Angeles, California and their sound has been compared to that of legend Fleetwood Mac. They have released two albums: “Forever” (EP) in 2012 and “Days Are Gone” in 2013.
