Mysteryland USA is now under 100 days away. 98 to be exact, but whose counting right? The Mysteryland USA line up has not even dropped yet but the Holy Grounds (the on site camping for the festival) are already 70% sold out. Tickets are moving fast and we were curious why there is so much demand for the on site camping when attendees do not even know who they will be seeing.
So we did some digging and found an extensive list of reasons why the Holy Grounds is the place to be this Memorial Day weekend.
1. The Official theme for 2015 is ‘Camp DoYaWannaDance' is inspired by old school summer camps. This includes a list of classic games with a modern twist…this includes: Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Giant Battleshots, Giant Beer Pong, Giant Operation (with the Mysteryland iconic birdie as the patient), Bounce House Dodge Ball, Hamster Ball soccer, a 20 foot inflatable slide, stand up comedy, and Deep House Yoga…
So yeah, basically the Mysteryland USA Holy Grounds are a freaking adult summer camp. Childhood games have become life size and involve consuming alcohol now. What is not to love about that. When is the next time you have a chance to go in a Bouncy Castle and play dodge ball or Play life size operation with alcoholic penalties for hitting the buzzer…Let me tell you. This is a throwback to childhood you will not want to miss.
2. Camp on the historic Woodstock ’69 festival grounds. Mysteryland USA is the first and only camping festival to be held on the grounds of the iconic Woodstock '69 Music Festival. So you get a chance to be part of history!
3. There are three stages on Friday, the unofficial first festival day for campers only! The day goes from 2PM – 2AM. The camp site features the return of the BangOn! NYC Bus, the Pineapple Paradise stage and the Camping Circus tent that hosted acts from Tritonal to Nicky Romero last year!
4. You can start the days earlier with ‘The Breakfast Club' which opens up each day at 11AM, and is hosted by ‘Saved By The 90’s’. Can you say booze brunch?
5. There is a huge assortment of food and beverage vendors including: vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Also other healthy options like: Mocha chime frappe grande lattes and kale spinach pineapple juices, for those of us who do not want to start the day off with copious amounts of liquor.
6. There are chilled out seating all over the camping grounds so you can relax and escape from the heat of the day.
7. There are Morning Deep House Yoga and spiritual workshops so you can get yourself centered before the day officially begins.
8. If you do not feel like bringing your own tent you have options! Pre-set up easy tents or super deluxe VIP lodges which can be found here!
9. There is a Silent Disco for the after-after hours party. This way you can get your groove on without disturbing the neighbors who called it an early night to prepare for the next day.
10. The camp site is just a few minute walk away from the festival grounds, making for expedited entry and the ability to leave and return to the grounds as you like!
11. There has been over 1/2 million dollars invested into improving the camping grounds, such as gravel roads, showers, drainage, parking, mud prevention and so much more. So the Holy Grounds are in better shape then ever before.
