Sherwood Forest is home to one of the most popular festivals in the world, Electric Forest.
6 days ago, a Reddit user took to Reddit to say that he is a “forester (an actual forester) in the Oceana County. The double J got in contact with some local foresters. The Sherwood Forest red pine stand is absolutely infested with red pine beetle. Sherwood's either going to get clear cut, or rot.” Many people began to spread the rumor that Electric Forest would be forced to relocate due to the red pine beetle infestation. In response to this, Electric Forest posted to their Facebook stating that “there are still red pine beetles in the area, but they are moving north.”
