San Fransisco is starting to catch up with Los Angeles in terms of its significance in the electronic music scene. It may not match the city of angels in sheer size but as far as being a melting pot of creativity and collaboration its a force to be reckoned with. Childhood friends, Eric Weibel and Scott Holland, have been active members of the underground house scene for years and are even alumni Discovery Project winners as the 219 Boys. Following the unstoppable Dirtybird movement of hyphy house music, the boys are treating everyone with a fitting remix to an already poppin club tune from local MC G-Easy‘s Lotta That. Their wompy, darker style goes together with dirty rap music like the Black Keys and Wu-Tang Clan (Blakroc anyone??). Definitely acquire some quality audio to truly appreciate this one, because the beauty is in the low end.
