Slovenian house master Umek is releasing his much anticipated single Live The Life today on Spinnin' Deep. A tasty piece of work the DJ drops here, with vocalist Jameisha Trice for a tune that seems made for these spring times.
Earlier this year Umek already made quite the impact with his lively new record Cheezin, featuring vocals by Atlanta hiphop honcho Waka Flocka. Gaining support from loads of jocks, including Oliver Heldens, Junior Sanchez and Pep & Rash to a varied range of artists like Avicii, Gregor Salto, Chuckie, The Partysquad, Tommie Sunshine and BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam, it seemed Umek had set the tone for 2015 -more craziness was to be expected.
The new release, Live The Life proves that the talented DJ has been up to much more. This time his wayward groove gets blended with the crystal clear vocals of Jameisha Trice, moving forward with a fetching bass line and soft organ chords. As the tension builds the sound of a deep house anthem rises, making this an undeniable soundtrack for sunny days to come.
