With hardstyle continually growing, it's no doubt that the events have been getting larger. With that said, Insomnaic took it to another level presenting their next level of hard dance massive's with their newest installment of the Basscon series; Resurgence. Taking place at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino – the venue that has hosted event after event, got to be taken over by the hard dance masses. With a legendary lineup including first ever US appearance act Audiotricz, the fans knew they were in for one great night.
Starting off the night was Americas' very own Darksiderz, who welcomed the crowd with his dark sounds that was the perfect way to start the evening. As the lights got brighter, the crowd the bigger and the the stage of the eagle was in effect, Adrenalize took the stage. As young as he may be, he rocks a crowd like no tomorrow. The warehouse vibes Basscon created really took off at this point. The venue underwent a transformation of hardstyle domination that worked perfectly. Next on decks was Audiotricz, who were ready to take on their their first US appearance. Check our recent interview with the two here to find out a little more on them. The guys didn't spare a moment as they dropped everything from Ghetto Blaster, Beautiful World, and Symbols as well as their recent collab with Wildstylez – Turn the Music Up!.
The night in full effect and production at a high – it was a great sight to look around and see the fans in pure bliss. Having this be one of the biggest hardstyle shows North America, it's safe to say hardstyle is here to stay. As the clock hit 10:30, Brennan Heart arrived to take over and opened his set with Isaacs' remix California Love. Setting the mood with an appropriate song for the evening, he soon played a variety of tracks like Showteks' remix of The Bottle and his collaboration with Zatox; Back in the Days. The night already half way in both TNT (Tuneboy N Technoboy) and Coone played massive sets, especially with Coone getting ready to end his America tour. Digital Nation, Trilito , and Coones' remix of Mammoth were the sounds of the evening from them, as the crowd went especially wild during them.
Last but not least, the hardest of all – Angerfist. It was 1:30 in the morning and the BPMs raised to a degree that is not for the faint of heart. But for us? It was pure heaven. To our delight he played a killer track list with tracks Messenger Of God, Carnival of Doom, and even the almighty Dance with the Wolves. The crowd was rowdy and the speakers were being put to the test, but it was all in the name of Hardcore. All in all, Resurgence became a hard dance heaven for fans. Everything from the production, the sound, and the artists were all perfect. Definitely not a night not to be missed, but luckily we will be welcomed with the Basscon stage at EDC Las Vegas. Thank you to everyone who made it happen and thank you to the fans that kept the energy going all night long.
