Gramatik played in a blizzard on May 9th at Red Rocks and it's going to go down as one of his most epic performances – perhaps not because he played under a tarp – or that it was a special event and a season opener for the famous venue – but the fact that the fans raged on. Check out some of the photos below – You can see the full album here – and also read this great statement by Gramatik about the show last weekend:
“To everyone that came to Red Rocks last night and stood there in a fckn blizzard, you are absolute HEROES! You all came before the blizzard began and stayed for us, so the least we could do is give you something in return. We decided to play for you until we get shut down or our gear dies.
At 4 pm my team was advised to move the show times up because of the weather and everyone on the bill agreed to shorten and change set times. As the weather worsened the city of Denver told us we had to end at 9:35 for safety reasons. Also, rescheduling Red Rocks is almost never a possibility, they are booked a year in advance and so am I. Despite how impossible it was for us to play in those conditions(I was under a plastic tarp!), I had an absolute blast with you in my favorite venue in the world. It will be one of the most incredible memories of my life forever and know that we are working on a plan to give you a full show somewhere somehow soon! I hope everyone got home safe and I fckn love you! -Denis
PS: We have a hilarious recap video from “under the tarp” coming up!”
He also just released a new tune today that we've featured last the #1 glitch hop track of the week on Glitch in the System radio.
