Sunset Events and Disco Donnie announced that they will team up with FireChat to enable live communication at this years Sunset Music Festival (SMF). The best part about this technology? No internet connection required.
All of us veteran festival goers know how difficult it is to pick up a signal within a dense crowd of 100,000 people packed into half of a square mile. This technology circumvents this issue and allows fans to chat with their favorite DJs live, along with other fans, to create an internal social network at one of the largest festivals in the US! How cool is that?
This years SMF is taking place in Tampa, FL on May 23-24 with headlining sets from Tiesto, Skrillex, Armin Van Buren, Showtek, Oliver Heldens, and Flosstradamus.
Throughout the festival, DJs will be entering the SMF FireChat to answer questions, hangout, or simply interact with the fans in attendance, giving the SMF an entirely new attraction.
