I am a very particular person when it comes to music. I can not put myself in to one category as a fan. I grew up on the heaviest of metal. I bought an acoustic guitar and wanted to be a folk singer. I got a mixer and wanted to tour the world rocking the sickest beats. Individually I love all genres of music and there are few people that can mix genres together and really pull it off.
Enter the Sullivan King. With a name that honors the Late Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy Sullivan, you know this guy is going to bring the metal to the show but what really shocked me was how strong the dubstep game was with this artist. After hearing the Sullivan King’s Orange Is the New Black theme I was blown away. The guitar work is great but what I was tuned into most were the growls. A perfect blend of metal darkness and dubstep filth, this guy does it right. I love the depth that the Sullivan King brings to opening credits of the hit show.
