Prepare to get lost in the psychedelic sounds of Sixis. The Northern California native drops a massive new EP this week on Addictech that has a unique fusion of glitch and deep sounds. This truly defines the term “IDM,” with songs that capture thought-provoking intensity with mesmerizing psychedelic dubstep sounds infused and warped into each break.
The first track, “Refraction Point,” is a wonderful journey. The other three tracks deliver just as much complex beauty with varying structure. “Wandering Deeper” is a funky, glitch hop anthem. There's a very interesting track with Mumukshu as well. The final track, “Conduit,” seems to resemble alien communication. These four tracks are quite a treat to listen to, there's an abundance of layered genius!
