In celebration of Nocturnal Wonderland's 20th anniversary, Insomniac released a 23-minute long documentary “chronicling not only the birth of Nocturnal Wonderland, but the growth of house music itself.”
In the documentary, Moby says “the funny thing with dance music especially electronic dance music is that there is one person who invented it.” Back in 1968, Moby's friend Simon created the group Silver Apples and released the track “Oscillations.” “He [Simon] invented dance music,” said Moby. “It has a 4/4 kick and synths that he built himself… and it's house music.”
