Coming crashing out of Never Say Die today is the latest collection of world class dubstep from none other than 501. An artist who only releases and DJs sporadically, 501 still has a huge following, and any releases from him are highly respected.
His “Infinity” EP is no exception, and it's a truly thrilling affair. From the epic intro on the title track to the syncopated subtleties of “Hold Back”, 501 has thought through the production on each track very carefully. “Night Drive” brings out an incredibly urgent theme with its striking percussion and powerful riff sequences and the closing track “Show You” involves snatches of vocals, drawn out build ups and those heavy drops that we have known to recognise.
