Duke Dumont is a producer in a class of his own. While his music is typically supported by a sparkling house backbone, the Blase Boys Club boss is able to effortlessly blend genres as he deftly moves between dance, pop, house, and back. His multi-faceted approach to his music has led to two Grammy nominations for his tracks, “Need U (100%)” and “I Got U,” and a soon-to-be third (hopefully) for his latest effort, “Ocean Drive.” Released earlier this summer, “Ocean Drive” is the first single off of Dumont’s forthcoming Blase Boys Club Vol. 1 EP, and it’s just gotten a stellar remix package courtesy of Hayden James, Alison Wonderland, and Shaun Frank.
For the remix package, Dumont tabbed three wildly different producers – first up is the Sydney-based Hayden James, who infuses the dance pop anthem with waves of luscious synth melodies and dreamy guitar chords. Alison Wonderland takes the track in a completely different direction, doing away with the 80s-influenced production in favor of booming horn samples to turn “Ocean Drive” into a trap thriller. Last up is Shaun Frank, who speeds the track up to a club-ready tempo that will ignite dance floors around the world. The official remix package is due out on Oct. 16th, so keep an eye out.
