The American Music Awards is an annual music awards show that was created by Dick Clark back in 1973. For the past four decades, the American Music Awards have chosen the leading musicians in their respective genres. Now decades later, the American Music Awards have unveiled the nominations for the 2015 year. The nominees were partially revealed by Charlie Puth and Joe Jonas on October 13th via Good Morning America.
This year's AMA nominations for pop electronic music included artists, such as Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Zedd. While EDM's presence in the AMAs is once again limited, Jack Ü and Justin Bieber's hit track “Where Are Ü Now” was nominated for “Collaboration Of The Year” alongside Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars‘ “Uptown Funk.”
