29 year-old Santa Ana, California native Lindsey Stirling didn't have the most traditional rise to success with her interesting taking on classical meets electronic music. Her crossover style earned a win in her second nomination at the Billboard Music Awards in May and now her success is translating into some nice figures online.
First turning heads as “hip-hop violinist,” Stirling made her debut album after appearing on America's Got Talent in 2010. On the heels of her Billboard Music Award and sophomore album this year, a new report from Forbes shows that Stirling was one of the highest-paid artists on YouTube in 2015 with about $6 million in total revenue. It's no surprise, either. On her YouTube channel, it's easy to find a fantastic rendition of Stirling incorporating a full entertainment experience in her videos. She uses her dancing and choreography skills to express a hybrid musical form that's incomparable.
