Who are you biggest vocal inspirations?
There are few vocalist’s these day that can deliver a vocal that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I love listening to old Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder records for my fix. “Harder without You,” is such a great track- I’m a little obsessed with it.
Any interesting story behind it?
It was actually created 2 years ago with a good friend of mine over 3 bottles of wine. The song was titled 3 wines for for about a year haha. The lyrics that i wrote for the song were actually about my obsession with music and at one point, not too long ago, i was actually contemplating whether to continue doing music because i'd come of a band after heavy international touring and very little financial return. I’m glad i stuck at it, and here I am.
I picture working with Touch Sensitive in the studio was pretty great. How did that come about?
Touch Sensitive or Di Fran , has been a friend of mine for a very long time. Long before he was Touch and i was Deutsch. I was tripping on the bass part and needed someone to fix it… he’s the only one!
How did the MXXWLL remix come to fruition?
Max is another great friend of mine..We have a few things on the burner at the moment about to be released. Max and i usually get together every couple of weeks and jam ideas. He’s a Boss!
