The popular YouTube channel and music curator Majestic Casual has been shut down due to multiple third-party claims of copyright infringements.
Instead of being greeted by Majestic Casual's 600,000 YouTube subscribers, the screen currently reads “Majestic Casual has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user has posted.”
While many are quick to judge major labels here, one Facebook user admitted that Majestic Casual was using his artist's work without their permission and he had no problem reporting them to YouTube. While we still cannot confirm this claim, some people believe that the artists may have granted Majestic to use their work, but then the song was later sold to a Record Label who then would have filed the copyright claim.
RIP @majesticcasual. You were always one of our favorite YouTube channels pic.twitter.com/r5gaQXCgDu
