The Technics 1200 have been a fan-favorite by DJs for its direct-drive, flawless mixing abilities and high-torque capabilities. The latest version of the Technics 1200, the MK6, however was released in Japan back in 2008.

After 6 quiet years, Panasonic announced today at CES that they will be reviving the popular turntable with the brand new Grand Class Technics SL-1200G and limited edition Grand Class SL-1200GAE.
The 50th anniversary limited edition Technics will be available this summer with just 1,200 units being released, while the cheaper SL-1200G will be available in late 2016.
