Nine Lives Amazing Chill Remix of Louis The Child’s “It’s Strange”

Nine Lives – The New Teenage EDM Duo for 2016

What would you do if you had nine lives to live, what would you do with them?

Would you attend every festival in the world nine times over?

That’s a plan we could get behind.

Would you become the greatest EDM artist to ever grace the stage?

Or perhaps you'd finally be free to express that part of you that normally lies dormant and imprisoned by the boundaries of the identity you've built.

A part of you that only the “chill”, EDM genres can reach.

Time to let the cat out of the bag,

As an enigmatic presence has recently crawled out of the shadows and into the airwaves and sound clouds of dance music; aptly known as Nine Lives, the duo recently teased us with their trap-influenced, chilled-out remix of MORTEN‘s Beautiful Heartbeat. Now Nine Lives is back for round two with their take on Louis The Child‘s It's Strange, which has recently managed to put the teenage duo solidly on the map. Not to mention it has also been featured on the FIFA 16 video game.

Nine Lives‘s remix of It's Strange breaks all new grounds with its unique and seamless blend of melodic electronica and relaxed trap (Fear not, it's not Deep House).  With a little help from K. Flay‘s raspy vocals lending an emotive contrast to the synths and instruments, carrying us through dreamy bass lines helping us find that inner chill.

Indeed, there's been quite a few favourable acts and artists on the frontier this year, making the competition for the fan's attention a struggle.  But with two fantastic and commendable remixes released, Nine Lives has piqued the interest of critics, artists and fans alike…

Not too shabby…

So stay tuned for more and keep an ear out for the dance scene's newest duo in 2016 as they appear to release a steady stream of productions and let the music do the talking.
