“With great power comes great responsibility,” and that is something 3Lau has preached from Day One. From the streets of Las Vegas to the main stages around the world, his story and rise to prominence is something out a movie. But like all great stories, there is more that meets the eye when it comes to Justin Blau, a man who sees more then just the money, but a way to give back.
In 2012, that the Las Vegas Native launched a joint project with Pencils of Promise. For people who haven't aren't familiar with the charity, what PoP does is they help build schools in third world countries. Well fast forward a few years and over 100,000 dollars later, 3lau has become one of the faces of the EDM philanthropic movement.
Currently sitting at the top of his trade, the rising star decided to go on-step further, with the creation of his newest label, Blume. Like so many other labels, one of Blume's objectives is to give up-and-coming producers a platform to release their music, but its mission and primary goal is to give all proceeds to charity.
For the labels inaugural release, 3Lau released the first track on his label, titled “Is It Love”. Taking a massive step away from his typical big room and progressive sound, this feel good melodic track featuring vocals from Yeah Boy, really encompasses how far Justin has come, production wise, over the last several years.
