When Edward Snowden fled the United States and went public with information about the NSA's secret surveillance and data collection in 2013, Snowden knew he may never return to the US ever again. What Snowden may not have realized though was his future in electronic music.
The 67-year-old French composer Jean-Michel Jarre teamed up with Edward Snowden to create a newly released track titled “Exit” which will be featured on Jarre's upcoming album “Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise.”
Jean-Michel Jarre said that the track is not an act of anti-Americanism and that Edward Snowden “sacrificed himself, like an American soldier. To me, that’s a true patriot. What I can say, in a very objective way, is he is very in love with his country.”
