While most “down south” festivals tend to be enormous, ungodly events with a lineup for any goer to enjoy, sometimes that isn't what we want. Catering to a specific demographic isn't easy, but the people at Capital Crown are determined to bring the people exactly what they want with Above Festival. Featuring a medley of artists that span the gamut of sounds, this East Coast festival is full of wompy madness. Set to go down on May 27th, this one night festival festival is all about packing as much talent as it can into Greensboro's Limelight venue. From the heavy dub wobbles of Truth to the grasshop fusion Vibe Street, the lineup is a multi-genre celebration of artists who create their own style and sounds. With fellow headliners, Brightside, Bad Catholics and Levitation Jones each bringing their weirdness to the table, it's certain that even those who are coming to enjoy some well known favorites will be discovering new music. With all the different vibes getting brought to the table, there is little doubt in my mind that Greensboro residents will anxiously awaiting the announcement of future editions of this inaugural event.
