“False Proof is something I wrote and recorded in a few hours one day as an exercise while writing my upcoming EP. It was so fun to write because the song is made up of only my voice, my guitar, my bass guitar and some drum samples. Raw and simple.”
-Pierce Fulton
Sometimes inspiration comes from unexpected places, and for Pierce Fulton a rope swing injury that resulted in multiple fractured ribs and a punctured lung helped inspire him to finish his latest track ‘False Proof'. In a time where parity is plentiful in EDM, it's refreshing when we see artists step outside the box and maybe even their comfort zone to create something different. Pierce Fulton did just that in ‘False Proof' by demonstrating his capabilities of a singer/songwriter in the rock and roll infused track. Even though I wouldn't necessarily put this into the electronic category or genre, it's great to hear a track like this especially since we have heard Pierce incorporate guitar and many other instruments into his tracks lately. Now we have a full on alternative rock song from the Vermont native. It'll be interesting to see if he incorporates any of his own vocals in his up coming EP. Stay tuned.
Take a listen to ‘False Proof' below and let me know what you think of it.
