Last week, the popular trap DJ and producer Ookay took to Twitter to vent about having his SoundCloud removed after receiving his third copyright strike. At the time of the takedown, Ookay had 98 uploaded tracks and a total of 175,599 followers.
SoundCloud reached out to Ookay stating that his bootleg of White Stripes' “Seven Nation Army” infringed upon the owner's copyright. SoundCloud went on to say that “this is your third strike” and that they had made it clear on previous occasions that repeated instances would results in the termination of his SoundCloud account. Since the takedown Ookay has received a lot of support from fans and fellow DJs.

also glad to know Soundcloud support's twitter has only been about getting their payments to go through rather than helping the artist out.

I'm sad about the fact that I lost all my "likes". True Gems in there. So many great artists I've found through the poison that killed me
