In the past few years, northern California's Lake Tahoe has become one of the premier destination for dance music festivals, particularly with bass music. This weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Bass Camp will celebrate it's 4th year. Undeniably their biggest yet, Bass Camp is featuring 2 days of A-list artists including Nero, Krewella, and Arty. The lineup also includes special sets like Justin Jay & friends and the filthiest dubstep duo since Cookie Monsta & Funtcase with Figure b2b Protohype.
No doubt will each of these massive names deliver stellar performances, but there's a bevy of other talent as well. Here is a few of the most promising up and comers playing at this years Bass Camp!
Aaron Jackson
With releases on Monstercat, Buygore, Heldeep, and many more huge labels, Aaron Jackson has a top notch mixture of dirty, funky beats.
Boggan
Reno's Boggan features the dark vibe that west coast bass music was built on. A great combo of hard and chill tunes.
Citizun
LA's Citizun makes some truly epic trap music. It's very fitting that he will be playing on the main stage this year.
Father Bear
Another LA group, Father Bear has been blasting the scene with their trippy blends of glitch hop and dubstep.
Kayoh
This will not be Kayoh's first time rocking out at Bass Camp, but every year this guy gets crazier and crazier. Definitely some of the freshest tunes you'll hear this weekend.
Kotch
While most electronic artists nowadays are mainly producers, Kotch remains a true disc jockey, relying on stellar song selection and smooth transitions to deliver fantastic mixes. An LA favorite and Insomniac associated DJ, Kotch will no doubt keep the dancefloor moving.
Lunektrix
Tahoe's own Lunektrix are a mashup duo that takes your beloved classics and mixes them with pulse pounding bass sounds.
Vice Versa
Bass Camp veterans and former Discovery Project alumni, Vice Versa can match any main stage act.
Zepra
Get ready to wobble! Zepra always brings it with some of the best bass house and techtronica on the west coast.
Have fun and stay safe ravers! 🙂
