We've heard over and over that “EDM is dying” and that “EDM is dead.” According to the top 100 songs according to Spotify Charts, EDM now occupies 18% of the total Top 100 Songs.
While many EDM songs are leaning more towards “pop” these days, EDM shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. According to Google Trends, “EDM” currently has an interest level of the maximum score of 100. This is puzzling though as even back in 2012 Google Trends reported an interest level of 100.
As EDM continues to be the fastest-growing musical genre, DJs such as Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, David Guetta and The Chainsmokers are leading the pack.
