Kove returns into the spotlight this week, bringing the second edition of his “Nightfires” sequence to his stronghold of fans. With the first volume out in April, “Nightfires Vol.2” again strays into four tracks of differing genres.
The DJ and producer says of this collection, “I wanted to take inspiration from my rock roots… I've also tried to branch out lyrically, incorporating some darker themes.” This is certainly true of “Into The Fire” ft. Folly Rae, which brings out gnarly guitar riffs and a D&B bassline. “jericho” is a snappier house slice and stays purely instrumental, whilst “Bring Me Life” ft. Jonny Fears is a dramatic 175BPM ascension.
Kove closes this awesome EP off with “L.Y.L”, bringing some real groove to its bottom line and throwing in euphoric vocal snatches.
