As Art Basel b
egan to take over the city of Miami for its 15-year installment with high-end art exhibits showcasing over 250 galleries from 31 countries in the Miami Beach Convention Center and amongst other locations. The official start of Art Basel week began on November 30th, Wynwood was covered with even more art than the usual and surrounded by legendary after parties. Being that it was the time even attending Art Basel, it was very overwhelming being surrounded exquisite art pieces and murals. As well as never witnessing Miami at this status. Starting off Art Basel Week for the very first time with a bang was the insanely fun RA party at Art Basel held at The Factory at Magic City Studios.
Magic City Warehouse in an intimate warehouse with a spacious courtyard area, giving off the perfect vibes to create the underground scene that has been growing rapidly in popularity. Born in New York, I’ve always been the one going to warehouse parties and partying in Brooklyn where it's all about the underground techno scene. Miami has been slowly rising as a techno hotspot, with more incredible talented techno DJs being invited to perform. RA: Resident Advisor did an unbelievable job hosting the event and was joined by PL0T and Poplife.
Some of the planet's greatest record selectors were invited for a uniquely intimate session of late-night dancing. The entire warehouse was filled with techno lovers and good vibes, with music playing throughout the night everyone’s face was lit up with happiness. Dancing the night away along to groovy tunes from Floating Points (DJ Set), DāM-FunK (DJ Set), Amtrac, and a special guest from The Black Madonna – all acts played incredible sets keeping everyone entertained till it was over. Never seeing The Black Madonna perform, she played an especially stunning performance leaving everyone wanting more.
