We were staying in Paris.
The Chainsmokers recently completed their first tour in Europe and admitted in their vlog, they had no idea how it would go. While their music had been widely successful in the states, touring in Europe was new to them. However, a few shows into the tour, Alex and Drew realized it would be very memorable. With their European Tour over, and their “Collage” EP released, 2017 turned a blank page for The Chainsmokers, and write on it, they did.
‘Paris' by The Chainsmokers features main vocals by Drew himself, and uncredited backing vocals by Emily Warren. Memorable vocals have been responsible for the massive success of their previous songs, and ‘Paris' is no different. Adding in a steady drumbeat, and real instrumentation, ”Paris' starts out slow and builds up into a final drop that will traverse stages and Headphones across the globe.
Weeks after weeks went by with Closer holding strong at the #1 Billboard Hot 100 Spot, and many of us wondered could they top that record hit? ‘Paris' may do just that.
