Everyones favorite Australian bass goddess, Anna Lunoe, has just blessed us with her latest Diplo & Friends mix. About an hour in length, the mix is jam packed with foot stomping house music, Anna's own original tracks and remixes, Jersey Club, and even some old favorites we forgot about.
For one of the few females in the electronic scene, Anna has really developed and marketed herself as a bass drum dealing sweetheart (mixed in around 42 minutes). Anna has been non-stop touring over the past few years. She's toured with her own project, Hyperhouse, numerous times which also has a weekly radio show on Apple Music. Recently, she's toured with R&B powerhouse The Weeknd and on was apart of Mija‘s self-made 2016 tour; Fk A Genre. She also played at largely every festival under the sun in the last year. Events like Holy Ship, Electric Zoo and this year's Coachella. Alright. We're sure you get it by now. She's the best. And have you heard her accent? *heart eyes emoji*.
Lunoe starts off her mix by dropping Tropkillaz, for her trap fans, and Chris Lorenzo, for her fans of the deeper genres. These two artists and respective genres represent Lunoe's mixing style well as she bounces around from genre to genre with her own productions as well. Later in the mix, she features Chris Lake‘s newest smash hit; Operator (Ring Ring). Already this song is making huge waves in the techno and deep house scene, being featured in many mixes including Green Velvet‘s most recent podcast.
The first song of her own that Anna throws into the mix is her collab with Chris Lake, Stomper. The beauty of Lunoe as a dance music artist, is her mastery of both producing and mixing. Some artists can find themselves stuck in productions, or stuck with their ability to mix a fluid set. Anna brings the best of both worlds at a perfect 50/50 balance. Other tracks by her in this mix include; her remix to Flume's ‘Say It‘, her own track “Godzilla” and and her most recent single Radioactive.
The rest of the mix includes everything from Baauer to What's So Not and even a remix featuring hip-hop superstar Travis Scott. All in all, we can't get enough of this mix, and Lunoe in general.
