Austin based producer Zkosta dropped a new song recently entitled “Funkt” and it'll definitely put some pep in your step. The upbeat House infused groove is sporadic and a breathe of fresh air to the underground scene, so give it a spin. “When I originally wrote the following piece it started off as a house track. It’s weird how the song developed after I started working with the breakdown/build. I brought a vocal in and played with the pitch and made a melody. I think I was listening to Deorro at the time. He’s one of my major inspirations. I finished the idea for the track and then it was onto the mixing and mastering side of things. I was taking classes with Anonymous Studios LA and we used this track as part of the class so I could see how everything was being incorporated. We finished the track, but it still had gaps in the breakdown. I found some vocal samples in the splice that were the same key signature and chopped them up and added some FX and here is the song!”
