On February 4, 2017, an Alessia Cara fan page tweeted a sneak peek video of an up-and-coming collaboration with Zedd. Cara, a singer and songwriter from Canada, came into the music world with her debut single “Here” after gaining momentum on YouTube. The video, while quite the announcement, gave very little away as it was only a brief 14 seconds.
However, what we can deduct from that frustratingly short video is that the song is titled “Stay.” Assuming that the audio accompanying the video was a clip from the song as well, the opening for it is soft and melodic. The projected release date is coming up too as it will be on February 24.
Alessia Cara performed on Saturday Night Live later that same day as the musical guest. Zedd tweeted prior to the show that his followers should tune in if they want to see something special:

Once again, we can see how prominent electronic producers and DJs, such as Zedd, are collaborating with musicians outside of the genre. It’ll be interesting to see what is produced from the collaboration.
