In 2016, Corona’s activation of Electric Beach entered its biggest year yet with an expansion that doubled its market size to now include New York, Miami, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Fire Island, and Washing D.C.
Additionally, to the successful event, they partnered with festival pioneers Insomniac and HARD Events to bring the Corona Electric Beach experience to the grounds of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and Orlando, Nocturnal Wonderland, and HARD Summer in South California. The nationwide event series brought some of dance music industry's brightest stars to headline their events including Matoma, A-TRAK, Party Favor, Giraffage, Illenium, Keys N Krates (DJ Set) SNBRN, Autograf (DJ Set), Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Grandtheft, Thomas Jack, Bixel Boys, Ape Drums, Craze, Astronomar, and so much more.
The 2017 Electric Beach season has already begun in full swing. First stop to Miami, with critically acclaimed headliner Gryffin leading the way. On Sunday, February 19th, Electric Beach will be returning to South Beach's most popular beachfront venue Clevelander for a poolside day party from 3pm-8pm. Hopping behind the decks for this occasion, the event brand has recruited French electronic music tastemaker, Watermät, to fuel the sun-soaked festivity.

French DJ/Producer Laurent Arriau, better known as Watermät, has been composing tracks for several artists in the past, before releasing his own tracks. His first self-released EP Sparks included the tracks Sparks” and Something About You was released in December 2013. The following year his success climbed hiring by signing with Spinnin’ Records for his next track Bullit on their Deep imprint which took the dance music world by storm.
Bullit owning its unique sound, Watermät became one of the hottest new names around the globe. This continued with his 2015 singles Frequency (a collab with TAI), Portland (alongside Moguai) and All My Love. The tracks were all played by the biggest heavyweight DJs, ranging from main stage heroes like Tiësto, Calvin Harris too (deep) house tastemakers like The Magician and Martin Solveig.
