Family Guy has never been known for it's subtle humor. Just as Michael Bay movies have never been known for their awe inspiring sequences of dialogue. That being said they both have their time and place. Family Guy returned to the air last night for it's mid season premiere, as the show usually takes a few weeks off for the Football playoffs. On the episode Peter becomes a DJ.
The entire episode is hilarious and pulls on several different of the usual gags about EDM. The topics included that DJing is essentially just button pushing and to the idea EDM is super repetitive and that is exactly what it's drugged out fans crave. While they might have missed the mark a little bit on a few things, the result will still have you laughing. My favorite joke is the “Shut Up Meg” sample.
