Big Beat records recently premiered a future-fied remix of the powerful dubstep classic; Savage by Whethan featuring Flux Pavilion and MAX. The remix is by up and coming future producers; Yashi & Zoiré. Big Beats, an American record label behind artists as huge as Skrillex, Martin Solveig and Cash Cash, held a remix contest for the track, and this was the winning remix. Yashi and Zoiré are both future bass producers hailing form Norway. After the success of this remix we hope both artists will premier original tracks and bless us further by premiering more tracks together (Check out their soundclouds linked above).
The track starts off in typical future bass fashion. A slow crescendo of that signature future bass siren. Then a softer and slower echo of the vocals are gradually introduced. The glitchy 808's accustomed to future bass music are perfectly mastered into the sound of this remix by the two producers, almost making you forget that this track originally was much heavier and more along the genre lines of dubstep. Building up to the drop, Yashi and Zoiré introduce a more steady drum beat that is held throughout the track. The drop is followed by, what sounds like a very complex, but equally beautifully produced chorus. The producers implement many layers of signature future bass patterns, vocal distortions that are very high and contrasting low. Something we wish the artist would have included would be more bass in the builds and drops. Just to make the track that bit more heavy, since the original track is such heavy dubstep.
Overall, this is a tremendous remix that is sure to work its way into future bass listeners and producers remix repertoires. For it being both Yashi and Zoiré's breakout remix and first step into the scene, its incredible. We hope this serves as a doorway to more success and heavier tracks for both producers, and can't wait to hear what the future (no pun intended) has in store for them.
