Collaborative genius from Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran will unfortunately not be continued, and current work will not be released.
At Ultra Music Festival in 2015, he premiered a collab with Ed Sheeran titled “Rewind Repeat It.” This ballad expresses the desperation of love by stating that even if the world were to end, their love would be frozen in time. Before the release, Sheeran posted this on Instagram.
This left fans wondering if there would be more from the duo, because the live versions during each set are absolutely flawless.

Dutch Radio show hosts Coen & Sander had Garrix on their show recently to talk about his personal life as well as his tour, including questions about his new feature with Dua Lipa. Unfortunately for fans, he mentioned in the interview that a release of their collab is highly unlikely due to formalities with Sheeran's record label.
“It’s all label issues and a lot of headaches,” Garrix explained. “The label delayed the track because they wanted to release other tracks from Ed first.”
The complexity of Sheeran's label, respectively, became too much of a struggle, leaving Garrix unable to produce a single for 5-6 months. The annoyance caused Garrix's final statement to ensure fans the track will probably never be released.
Martin Garrix will appear at Ultra yet again this year among some of the greatest DJs in history, and chances are “Repeat Rewind It” will stun the crowd for a third year in a row.
