With Spring coming around the corner we usually find ourselves flooded with new submissions, just in time for the festival season, and most of the time, we find that the genre changes with the seasons. It seems that future style records are now the present. These types of sounds push the genre forward with chord driven synths typically side-chained or gated to create a wave sensation in the headphones.
Doom Dudash blesses us with a totally vocal driven track with gorgeous lyrics from MRM, chopped beautifully throughout the record and structured appropriately. The highlights of the record include driving drops that radiate a sense of nebulous existence as they emanate throughout the breakdowns. We give Doom Dudash credit for this one, considering the scene is so overly saturated with cookie cutter material and Doom Dudash really pushes the boundaries adding dub style synths, and creating original gated structures.
