Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, up and coming producer SVBER is bound to make some noise in the dance music community this year. He released his new single “Step2” late last week, less than a month after putting out his first EP titled “Genesis”. The new single was released on Soundcloud by “Trapstyle South Africa” and it currently has less than 2,000 plays.
Although “Step2” is being categorized as trapstyle, the tune in its entirety is far from that. The drop is exactly what we expect out of a powerful trapstyle tune; powerful lead synths over a fat 808 bassline and heavy percussion beats driving it all forward. The beginning of this tune is where SVBER puts on a clinic displaying his versatility and experimental approach to trap music. The track starts off with weird ambient noises followed by an arpeggiated pluck sequence that is backed by a light percussion rhythm. It flows into a drum and bass influenced pattern combined with a cinematic build into the drop.
His first single was released on Soundcloud just 4 months ago. He has less than 200 followers. His first EP spanned across multiple different genres with ease. It is rare to come across an artist capable of creating such powerful that has such a small following, but rest assured…SVBER will be all over the map soon enough.
